Serene Bayona
M.A, Registered Educational Therapist

Serene is a Registered Educational Therapist with accreditation from the Canadian National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). She works as a Learning Specialist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. With a background in education and communication disorders, Serene has significant experience helping children and youth with communication and sensory challenges and has worked closely with teams that include Speech-Language Pathologists and Behaviour Analysts.

In 2024, Serene shifted her scope toward providing intervention for students with learning disabilities, emphasizing structured literacy and cognitive development through individualized treatment.

Serene is a Certified PEERS® School-Based Provider & Telehealth Provider through the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behaviour. She has also completed advanced training in neuroscience and self‑regulation strategies for children with autism, ADHD, and sensory differences, taught by Dr. Varleisha Gibbs.
